Engine grants the user engine-like protrusions somewhere on their body that allow them to move at extraordinary speeds. Engine requires fuel in order to work properly, similar to an actual vehicle. In Tenchi's case, he drinks lime juice as a source of fuel for his Quirk.
Trivia
He and his Brother (Tenjou) are actually twins despite their physical differences. Tenjou is a few minutes older and never lets Tenchi forget it
After working as a pro hero for many years he has earned a bad leg/hip which can cause him to limp or walk with a cane in extreme cases
Due to his fathers strict views and beliefs it took Tenchi a while to come to terms with his bisexuality
Like the rest of the Iidas he also has a form of arrow eyebrows... They are inward facing
